Red Eye Tonight - Mary Barry's third independent CD is in stores now [ ... find out where ]
April, 2007 - Recording begins for Mary Barry's new CD of original jazz and blues. Keep your ears and eyes open for news on the album's release this June.
February, 2007 - Semi-finalist in the International Song Competition for her one-take wonder "You're In My Skin" (incidentally, the only Canadian to reach the semi-finals in the jazz category).

Saturday, March 8th - 7PM - International Short Film Showcase. Reception at 7PM with live jazz by Mary Barry. Screenings start at 8PM. This event is hosted by the St. John's International Women's Film Festival and the 48th Parallel Project and takes place at Bianca's Restaurant, 171 Water Street.
Friday, February 8th - 5PM to 7PM @ James Joyce Pub - Mary Barry showcases on the Francophone Stage at the ECMAs. The James Joyce Pub is located in the Crown Plaza, Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Saturday, February 9th - 10PM @ Dolan's Pub - Mary Barry joins her peers on the Music NL Stage as the MIA winners from Newfoundland and Labrador are recognized at the ECMAs. Don't be late as Mary Barry hits the stage first in this evening's line-up of award winners.
Sunday, January 20th, 2:00PM - Come on down to Coffee & Company for some words and music. The Writer's Alliance and the Newfoundland Musicians Association are joining forces for the afternoon with readings and music from local artists. Admission is FREE and the show starts at 2:00PM.
Saturday, December 8th - Mary Barry and the "All-Star" Ensemble at The Ship Inn. Join Mary and her fabulous band for an evening of original jazz and blues. Doors open at 10:00 PM and show-time is at 10:30 PM.

This French double bill offcially launches the Francophone Cultural Network of Newfoundland and Labrador. Don't miss this francophone extravaganza. Note the early show-time of 9:00 PM. Wednesday, October 24 - 9:00 PM - Mary Barry and brother Paddy Barry perform together on Folk Night at the Ship Inn, Solomon's Lane, 265 Duckworth Street, St. John's.

Friday, September 21 - 3:30 PM - Mary Barry joins Jurgen Gothe and other invited guests at the Fairmont Hotel in St. John's for a live broadcast of CBC Radio Two's popular drive-home show DiscDrive. Thursday July 12 - 10:00 PM - Blue Jazz Night at BIANCA'S, 171 Water Street, St. John's. The Red Eye Tonight pre launch concert series continues with the full recording band, the Mary Barry Sextet. Patrick Boyle on trumpet and flugelhorn, Brian Way on piano, Bill Brennan on vibes and percussion, Mark Peddle on bass and Gary Tilley on drums will be accomanying Mary's great vocals and original songwriting. $10 dollars at the door.

December 1, 2005 - Mary performs another Blue Jazz Night @ Bianca's in downtown St. John's with her trio and special guests Jenny Gear and Katie Hopkins.
November 21-26, 2005 - Mary is a featured guest in the Divas Do Christmas extravaganza at the Arts & Culture Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland.
October 18, 2005 - Mary performs with viola sensation Pemi Paull at the opening of the St. John's Women's Film Festival at the Arts & Culture Centre, St. John's.
September 23, 2005 - Mary performs with brother Paddy Barry at the Seabird Festival in Historic Newtown, Newfoundland.
September 9-19, 2005 - Mary is chosen as the 2005 Gros Morne Musician in Residence, a partnership program between Gros Morne Co-Operating Association and Parks Canada. Mary spends 10 days in the community composing, gives songwriting presentation to the high school students in Rocky Harbour, as well as conducts a voice workshop in the community. Mary also performs sold out solo concert at the Gros Morne Visitor's Centre in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland.
August 25, 2005 - Mary launches Blue Jazz Night @ Bianca's with trio, featuring Patrick Boyle, Ron Collins, Gary Tilley and special guests Holly Hogan and brother Paddy Barry.
August 14-15, 2005 - Mary performs two solo concerts at the Twine Loft in Historic Trinity, Newfoundland.
July 23, 2005 - Mary performs solo concert to a full house at the St. John's Jazz Festival, with special appearances by trumpeter Patrick Boyle and brother Paddy Barry.
June 25, 2005 - Mary shares the stage at the Atlantic Jazz Initiative fundraiser alongside guitar virtuoso Duane Andrews.
March - June, 2005 - Mary begins a series of voice-over contracts, including the narration for Wavelight Production's Battle Harbour Heritage video, Nifco's Changing Minds and the Global/Pope Productions television series Legends and Lore of the North Atlantic, hosted by Gordon Pinsent. The 13 part series is broadcast on the Mystery, Prime, and Global networks.
